I’m super excited about our new listing at 3506 Madera in the perfect spot on a tree-lined quiet street, right next to all the best shops, cafes, and restaurants in Atwater Village! The offering is a sunshine filled Craftsman bungalow with 2 beds and 1 bath + generous living room + dining room + kitchen in the main house and a second structure that’s currently a garage/rec room with a bonus room (gym) behind it. There’s a massive sprawling park-like yard that seems to go on forever. Since we work well together, we now get the honor of representing Charlotte and Ro’s house in Atwater Village and our team couldn’t be more excited for the open house Sunday 2-5!
It was a celebration to close 842 N Mansfield this week. For the sellers, it’s one step closer to their goal of moving out of state and they’re excited for their new adventure! For the buyers, it’s their dream of homeownership for the first time! Both buyers and sellers are exuberant and elated, which is my absolute favorite experience in life! What an honor to be a part of that joy and excitement!! I’m excited for the joy of the sellers and buyers of 111 S Gardner, which will fund tomorrow and close right after!
I’m proud of our team for their hard won successes this week! Berel opened an escrow on a fabulous off market house that I believe his buyers are uber lucky to buy; Berel is the king of finding off markets. Nechama opened two off-market escrows, both with long time repeat clients which is our favorite way to do business. Christian opened a new escrow, beating 7 other offers, way over-asking, to get his buyers a house they’re over-the-moon excited about!!! So many offers came into our office this week at or above asking with no loan or appraisal contingencies and an inspection contingency only. All this activity tells us that it will never change that housing is integral to living, and to live people by necessity move around. At the different life stages people will always: buy their first home, downsize to a smaller home, move to be closer to new schools as kids graduate from old schools, move in alone when they separate, move in together when they unite, and most common is buy a house when they are about to have a baby. June is tell-tale busy real estate season and this year feels no different than any other.
The very best part of life is always the people, and I’m hyper excited to celebrate Raizy and Mordechai’s wedding this week with our people in LA!!!!!!! I LOVE our city + community + culture + vibe. A milestone becomes a true celebration for me when the party happens in our hometown surrounded by all our favorite people! I spent Shabbat alone with Raizy and Esti in Oxnard, the 3 of us squeezed tight right next to each other, savoring every moment of our last weekend together before Raizy moves so far away; in between the songs we belted out in succession for 24 hours, we started to process how much we’ll miss each other every day. For this coming week, and to stay in the moment, we choose to shelve the grief that will hit us later, and for right now we get hyper to party and dance!!!!!!
