On Feeling Loved On Mother’s Day 💗 – TBG Update

On Feeling

I’m super excited about our new listing at 647 Wilcox #3F. It’s rare for a unit to become available in Hancock Park Terrace with golf course views. Also rare to come across any property that’s entirely remodeled and in pristine almost brand new condition. The kitchen, bathrooms, motorized window shades, central AC, plumbing, and electrical are all new. The complex is 24 hour guard protected, there’s an on site maintenance team, and a community pool + spa + clubhouse. The LA Tennis Club is almost next door, along with Restaurant Row. The lobbies recently underwent an extensive renovation. There are 2 side-by-side parking spaces in the garage and also a massive built-in brand new storage unit. The owner of this unit is a past client and it’s a complete and total honor to work with him. There’s a PGA Tournament in about a month scheduled to take place at The Wilshire Country Club; the new owner of this unit will have frontline views of the 14th Fairway and 13th Hole!

This week we closed properties at 458 N Alta Vista and 4822 Van Noord #1. It was an honor to deal with all the parties. Our sellers are wonderful and I love representing our clients but I’m especially grateful that the buyers on these properties were especially lovely and made for such nice interactions. Our whole team is grateful and we wish the new property owners so much success and happiness in their new digs!

I’m excited for the months-long transformation of our listing at 126 N Rossmore! The house is looking completely different (and really cool now!) and I’m counting down the seconds until its new debut. I can’t wait!!!!!!!!! I’m also super excited to going live on the MLS and host the first open houses at 629 S Sycamore and 741 N Martel this Sunday…

We’ve been furiously working to lease out so many spaces for owners who choose to lease vs sell until interest rates go down. It’s interesting to see how some places take hundreds of showings before they’re leased and then some places are so popular that every person who walks in the door says they want to rent the space immediately. 734 S Detroit #3 flew out the door. What makes a space universally appealing is very deep windows that allow in so much sunshine, lots and lots of storage space, a nice dose of character, and of course good price and good location. As a landlord myself, I think it’s smart to price rentals at a rate that makes them rent soonest because the months with lapse in rent are ultimately more costly than the small increment of higher rent an owner waits months and months to get.

On Mother’s Day this past Sunday, my thoughts were on my Mom and what a big influence Moms have on our lives. As I get older, I keep relating to the way Mom was at my age, even though she died so many years ago. This past week I was in the mood for Mom’s stuffed peppers and I found a recipe that would taste just like Mom’s tasted. After dinner, I put some water and some dish soap in the pot and I let it boil on the stove, like Mom used to do, to make the pot easy to clean without scrubbing. Mom loved the ocean, long walks, bubble baths with the green Vitabath, taking off her rings at the end of the day and keeping them in a little Herend dish near the sink, setting a beautiful table on a crisp starched cloth with some freshly cut homegrown petally flowers set in a pretty vase right in the center of the table. Mom had the best taste and she loved things that were artistic, creative, beautiful, well made, and most fun if purchased on sale at a discount. The most powerful memory of any person, and the feeling that stays with us forever, is the way they loved. I miss my Mom most for how much she loved me and the impact her love for me had on my life. To all the Moms (and to the offspring of Special Moms), Happy Mother’s Day (Every Day)!

Have an awesome week ahead!

Xoxoxo,

Sheri
