Passover Traditions🍽- TBG Update 4/10/2022

I absolutely loved representing the buyers who recently bought 122 S Formosa off market for $2,850,000.  The seller specifically wanted to sell his own house off market, he had a price he wanted for the house, and his wish came true exactly the way he planned – with buyer representation only.  I love that house – the cute curb appeal, the friendly central location, the center hall plan, all the sunshine that fills each space, the traditional floor plan, the large family room that opens to the backyard, and the four bedrooms upstairs.  I’m excited to see how the buyers make it their own!  I know it’s going to be amazing!

This week we plan to go live with 306 N Orange Drive for lease for $8000/month.  The Art Deco building is beautiful with columns, historical accent details, stained glass, and original iron work.  The interior has soaring character ceilings and beautiful scale.  The formal rooms are elegant and spacious with exquisite ceilings and deep newer windows. There’s a brand new expanded state-of-the-art kitchen with a center island, top-of-the-line appliances, marble counters and backsplash, new peacock blue custom cabinetry, beautiful bay windows.  The master suite has 2 custom closets and a brand new designer bath with both shower + tub.  There are 3 beds and 3 baths. The curb appeal is enhanced by new designer landscaping and there’s parking in the garage in the back.  It will go live and we will start to show it in the middle of the week. 

Landlords are scoring great tenants and that makes us happy and proud. 424 N Highland leased immediately for $12,500.  175 N McCadden currently has an application for $19,000 a month.  302 N McCadden leased for $13,500 a month.  There are so many showing requests for leases and so much demand to lease a great space.

It was so fun this week to go on a follow-up listing appointment with Jessica, Lucy, and Emilee as a team.  We each have our areas of focus and it was cool to show up as a group and to spring into action where we each individually shine.  It’s our second time showing up as a team before client + agent commit to each other, and it makes sense to us because it’s representative of how we work once we’re on the job.  I love my team and I wake up every day grateful that I have the honor of doing great work with the best people!

I love the Passover holiday season!  It’s so fun and fresh to break out the designated Passover pots and pans and to cook the special traditional foods we eat only once a year on the holiday!  Most fun, of course, is all our favorite guests who come for the occasion.  Elia, my housekeeper, said to me on Friday that she doesn’t want the kids to leave after the holiday.  I know!!!  Same thought!!!  Kids and grandkids around feel like we’re on vacation and there’s nothing like it in the world!  For right now, we hold on to and we savor each moment!

Even though my kids neatly typed and turned our family recipes into a bound pretty cookbook, it’s much more sentimental and meaningful for me to work off Mom’s old paper recipe cards as I make the Passover recipes I used to bake with my Mom 40 years ago.  My girls join me and bake the same way I stood next to my Mom and baked when I was their age.  Passover is all about history, tradition, and passing our values and beliefs along from generation to generation.  More than the recipes and the food, my most fervent dream is for my kids to embrace the values of my Mom – kindness to so many, honesty and transparency always, aiming for super high standards, hard work and dedication, faith in a higher power, and overwhelming love for all the beautiful people around us!
