Sticky Buns

Dough:

  • 4- 4 1/2 cups of flour
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 1/2 tsp salt
  • 2 packages of yeast
  • 3/4 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1 egg

Filling:

  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tsp cinnamon
  • 3 tbsp melted butter

Glaze:

  • 1/2 cup Butter
  • 2/3 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tsp lite corn syrup
  • 1 1/2 cup chopped pecans

DIRECTIONS

Dough:. in a large bowl mix 2 c flour, sugar, salt and undissolved yeast. In a small saucepan combine milk, water and butter and heat till 120. Gradually add to dry ingredients and beat for 2 min. Add rest of flour and let rise until doubled in size around 1 hour. Divide dough in half. Roll 1 half of dough into an 18×8 rectangle. Brush with melted butter. Sprinkle half of filling. Roll and cut into 1 in pieces. Glaze: In a saucepan heat the butter, brown sugar, corn syrup and pecans until combined. Spoon into muffin cups. Place cinnamon buns in muffin cups and bake at 400 for 8-10 min.
