It was such an honor to represent both the exquisite house and the exquisite sellers at 8808 Thrasher that closed on Friday!!! We loved working with Nate Smith, the buyer’s agent, and his absolutely awesome buyer! It was a total treat to work in the hills off of Sunset Blvd! We loved everything about the sale from start to finish – the fabulous house, the super cool spot, all the smart people, and the joy of selling a house that was listed by four other agents before us! I wish the lucky buyer the-world-and-then-some in his radically awesome new crib!
It was super fun to close 1927 Buckingham this week too. That house went in escrow, out of escrow, and then in escrow again. When the current buyer was signing loan docs a few days before close, they noticed a large lender charge on the closing statement and they switched lenders at the very last second. I’m grateful that the deal finally closed. And the fourth time working with these sellers was a charm. I think it might get better each time :).
I’m excited to close 613 N Alta Vista on Tuesday this week! We’ve been talking to these sellers for over a year and a half about selling their house. We explored all the different options and ways for them to buy and sell. After evaluating all the alternatives, I was positive that the best way was for them to move out, sell, and then buy. So I let the sellers live in my own property during their sale. We prepared their house for sale and then once it was officially done, we backtracked and we got it even better by redoing parts that weren’t perfectly right, and then we found incredible buyers…and we made our sellers a lot of money (which I LOVE). I stopped by to check on the house early in the morning right before it was listed a few weeks ago and the next door neighbor came out in her bathrobe and her hair in rollers to say how much her neighbors appreciate me. That was super sweet and touching but actually I appreciate them more.
Two techie things I learned this week that are super helpful to me: 1) on the iphone, if you write a note in the notes app, and you hit the circle with the 3 dots in the top right corner, you can share your note with another person. Every time either person makes a change to the shared note, everyone gets a notification and it’s cool to collaborate that way. 2) if you click twice the button on the right side of the iphone, it’s apple pay and you can scan the picture of your credit card to pay and exit parking lots or to pay by credit card anywhere without taking out a physical credit card. So much faster and more efficient!
